It seems that the leaked info on mmo-champion was true after all. Below you can find a short summary of the new features of this upcoming expansion.

There will be two new races in the game. The Goblins for the Horde and the Worgen for the Alliance.

The reason that the Goblins have once again joined the Horde is because they had some bad encounters with the Alliance. So the Trade Princes decided that it would be more profitable if they picked the side of the Horde.

The Worgen faction which will join the Alliance are not the same Worgen you encountered in Ashenvale and Silverpine Forest. They are the former residents of the Kingdom of Gilneas, who went in complete isolation. behind the Greymane Wall. But it seems that the wall didn't stop the Worgen curse from entering their lands.

Of course this is not everything, there has also been a cataclysmic event which has shaken the very foundations of Azeroth. Several of the zones has been completely reshapen because of this and also former inaccessible zones like Gilneas, Mount Hyjal and Uldum are now ready to be explored.

New important characters are Deathwing, the fearsome leader of the Black Dragonflight, Queen Azshara ruler of the Naga and King Greymane who leads the survivors of Gilneas.

The level cap will will become 85 and to level you will need to follow the 'Path of the Titans'. Another addition to Azeroth is that you'll be able to use Flying mounts.

To lessen the disappointment of no new hero class, they have removed several class restrictions on the races. So expect to see combinations like Tauren Priests, Human Hunters or Dwarf Shamans when the expansion goes live.

Other additions are levels and achievements for guilds, a revamped Shadowfang Keep and Deadmines with Heroic versions, rated battlegrounds and Archaeology as a new secondary profession.
