X360: 20GB out, 60GB in
Posted on Saturday, 8 March 2008 by Speed, source: TrustedReviews
A new 60GB harddisk-equipped XBox360 is supposed to be released in the second quarter of this year to replace the 20GB version.
At least, if you can believe the "trusted source" from TrustedReviews that is.
I'm not sure what's going on, but with all rumours combined it looks like Microsoft is planning to completely overhaul their Xbox360 lineup.
A short summary:
- €50 price cut
- 60GB harddisk to replace the 20GB model
- Blu-ray addition (unknown if stand-alone or built-in)
If you look at the above I would think of the following:
- The €50 price cut is to make the Arcade system compete with the Nintendo Wii
- Current Xbox360 systems will get the €50 off until stocks are sold out
- New 60GB version replaces the 20GB one at the current price of the 20GB model
- New Elite system gets introduced with built-in Blu-ray drive and gets a retail price of the current Elite
Anyone care to share their thoughts?
