It has taken a while before the HD-DVD add-on for the Xbox 360 dropped in price, but now's the time. In the United States, 360 owners can enjoy a 50$ pricecut.

Whether this will give the medium some added momentum is yet to be seen. With Microsoft already considering a Blu-Ray add-on and Warner Bros dropping HD-DVD support, it's doubtful.

The priceut lowers the price of the add-on to $129.99, which is definitely a reasonable price. Here's hoping Microsoft Europe will announce something similar in the next couple of days.
