'Xbox 360 Elite price-cut, Pro just cut'

A big aspect of the console-wars is actually the pricing part. While Microsoft has had the upper hand in that part for the last year or two, it was SONY that was generating all the latest buzz with the PS3 Slim model and the rumoured lower price-point.

We all knew it wouldn't take long for some Xbox 360 rumours to surface and now it seems that Kotaku has picked up way more than just a price-cut rumour. They snapped a picture of a Meijer catalogue due on August 30 which places the Elite model at the Pro price point, confirming earlier rumours that the Pro is going to get the boot.

Does this mean that Microsoft is just cutting the prices and the catalogue size or are they rearranging their assortment of hardware to make place for something *cough* Natal *cough* big?
