John Schappert, Head of Live, Software en Services for the 360, during the Microsoft press conference at E3 announced that their console will be "completely reinvented thanks to a software update".

This will happen amongst other things by a new interface where a bigger role is given to the community features and where everything will become easier, faster and more accessible.

On top of that, as suggestd by the research-leak a couple of weeks ago, a system with Avatars will be put in place. These kinda resemble Playmobil characters and you'll be able to dress them, give them accessories and completely personalise them.

You'll be even able to integrate them in games, with communication and on external websites. Also the community pages will make use of them (it sounds a bit like an iTunes cover-turn-system) and you'll be able sit together in a room with everyone and look at your pictures together or chat a bit.

Also there will be cooperation with Endemol to do shows titles "Primetime" and "1 vs. 100" through Xbox Live.
