Xbox Live heading for 1mil. subscribers
Robbie Bach, a name with a musical ring to it, is not only the Chief Xbox Officer, but also one of the keynote speakers at the Las Vegas Digital Games Summit. In his address he said that the Xbox Live has a big advantage over Sony's Playstation 2 in regard to online gaming.

Why ? Because the Xbox Live uses central broadband servers to cater for their subscribers. Where as Playstation network gaming is not subscription-based and gamers have to find each other in other ways.And things are looking good if you look at the numbers. The Xbox Live normally has an average of 1,5 million gaming sessions a week now. But during the christmas holidays, they saw in increase to one million sessions per day !

As the hardware gets faster the big difference is going to be in the software.
