Xbox360 winner of the Christmas shopping in USA

Analysts have announced that the title of most sold console during the Christmas season in the United States goes to Microsoft's Xbox360. These statistics include the period from November up to Christmas itself.

Xbox360 - 2.000.000 ex
Wii - 1.800.000 ex
PS3 - 750.000 ex

It is rather remarkable that the Wii has sold almost as many copies in scarcely two weeks as the Xbox360 in two whole months. The low sales figure of the PlayStation 3 is most probably a result of the limited availability.

But there is another side to it. Sony makes greatest loss per sold console, then comes XBOX with smaller loss then there is WII who is actually profitable to sell. Those numbers would tell you a different story.
