Australia bans Second Life

No online sex for Aussies anymore
The Australian Minister for Censorship has confirmed downloadable games, flash-based web games and sites which sell physical copies of games that do not meet the MA15+ standard will be banned in Australia. This also includes the hyped online world Second Life.
A spokesman for Censorship Minister Stephen “Goebbels” Conroy confirmed to Fairfax newspapers that “under the filtering plan, it will be extended to downloadable games, flash-based web games and sites which sell physical copies of games that do not meet the MA15+ standard.” In Australia, the MA15+ rating means that the content is restricted to those aged 15 and above. Australia does not have a R 18+ or similar rating for computer games, with all adult games automatically being classified as RC (Refused Classification.)
It seems censorship in Australia is getting worse and worse. What's next? Book burnings and witch hunting?

About freakin' time. I'm normally against censorship and political correctness gone mad, but I've always felt this game NEEDS to be removed from the net, let alone banned in Australia. The things I have seen allowed on that game are beyond f**ked up. The minister of censorship made the right move here.
