Not so Incredible now

According to sources close to the studio, former THQ studio Heavy Iron may be laying off up to 70% of its staff this week.

Heavy Iron used to be a THQ studio and was mainly responsible for movie tie-in games such as The Incredibles but after the company was let go earlier this year little was heard from them.

60 to 70 people being laid off out of a total workforce of just over a hundred is a lot and especially the timing - Christmas - seems a bit harsh.

Sources have told Kotaku that around 60-70 of the studio's staff are to be laid off this week, most likely on Wednesday. This week being Christmas. With a total headcount of just over 100, that's a sizeable percentage of the studio's total workforce

"Happy Holidays" sure sounds awkward now...
