MW2 best selling CoD on PC ever

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has stated that despite much controverse, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the best selling Call of Duty game on PC ever.
Yes, PC is the smallest percentage in terms of how much sold on each platform but that hardly means anything other than the PC is just the smallest market.

The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has actually outsold the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in it's first week. Making it the most successful PC version.

Essentially, all this percentage proves is that the console versions sold great, not that the PC version sold poorly, because that's actually not the case. The PC version has done tremendous in it's first week, better than our previous game.
So the more PC gamers complain, the better a game sells? ;)

Most successful or most profitable?
The success of a game should never be based on sales.

if not on sales, what should it be based on then? % of users that bought and actually liked it? How would you measure that?

I think what he was getting at is how many units have sold, not how much money they made. This game costs more, so naturally it will make more money, but if it did sell more units, that would be more successful, at least to me.

If there were dedi servers it would be easy.
Amount of players playing in the first month against the amount of players, playing in a few months time...

Ok, fully agree but I do think they're talking about number of copies sold, not revenue

The only problem being with that, is there probably taking in numbers that the stores/retailers bought (and steam) but not always the actual number sold on to customers from the stores/retailers.

Steam is good as it is very easy to see how many bought it from it's own records and I would rather like to see that figure instead.

P2P also works good.
I got an epic computer so I mostly am the host.
Also got a very good internet connection so I basically never lagg in games. Just sometimes when other people host.

Seriously, I only miss dedicated servers in the way of not choosing your map. Gotta say it's shit when you get a stupid map and have to leave the game again. Other then that it all works fine.
Just buy it, play it. It's a great game, way better then MW1.
Stop complaining.
