At least three big surprises in next 12 months from Valve

The latest issue of PC Gamer UK has an interview with Valve Software's Gabe Newell in which he states that in the next 12 months, we can expect at least three "big surprises" from the studio.

"I can guarantee you people are going to be surprised at stuff we do. That isn't going to stop any time soon. I'm just laughing because... people will be shocked again," Valve boss Gabe Newell told the latest issue of PC Gamer.

"We have three pretty big surprises in the next 12 months at least."

At last E3, Valve was supposed to hold a press conference where a "big surprise" would be revealed, but that conference was cancelled at the last minute. Rumours floating around back then suggested we would finally hear more about Half-Life 2: Episode 3 so that still could be one of the three.

For the other two: Half-Life 3 comes to mind and a real shocker would be something like Kinect/Move-compatible pinball game! Any other sugestions?

New inhouse gameengine, Source 2, they're in need of one, and Half-Life 3 will be running on it - that's how it was with HL2 & the Source Engine...as for the third thing I guess it'll have to be HL2: Episode 3...

Counterstrike 2, Day of Defeat 2 & Source engine 2? Could be anti-climatic surprises like Left 4 Dead 3 though.

My bet is on Source 2, CS2 and HL3, but im aiming high. Id be more inclined to think that it would be CS2, L4D3 and HL2 Ep3 realistically.
