id Software wants more for Xbox Live Arcade
Doom on Xbox Live Arcade is addictive and surprisingly well preserved in this times of HD, advanced A.I. and extraordinary physics. Even the makers, id Software, and Todd Hollenshead are surprised by the success of the game (and probably even more by the money they are gaining with it) and have stated they are interested in bringing more games to the Arcade of the Xbox360:
However, they want to keep possible new releases a secret until the very last moment. We keep our fingers crossed for Duke Nukem (those holograms!) and good old Commander Keen!
"We're looking at bringing some of the other games to XLA, but a lot is going to depend on the response to DOOM. From what MS tells us, its [sic] been fantastic so far, which bodes well for other id "classics" to be released there. But there's nothing concrete," he said. "Making the surprise announcement at X06 for DOOM worked out great, so I'll be tight lipped about anything specific for now :)"
