id Software is not only developing Rage and overseeing development of the new Wolfenstein game but they have also started work on Doom 4 according to the official id website.
They clearly got their hands full since they ask for new folks to come work with them on Doom 4 (and perhaps other "surprise" projects). Here is the official request for help/game announcement:

Production has begun on DOOM 4™, the next journey into the legendary DOOM universe. We are expanding our internal team and are currently hiring to work on this highly anticipated title.
