wipEout 2048 for NGP unveiled
Sony Entertainment announced a new WipeOut game and this time the futuristic racer is heading to the next-gen handheld, the NGP.
wipEout 2048 will be a prequel to the series, set four years before the happenings that took place in the original from 1995 on the Playstation 1.

It's also the first game announced allowing cross-platform play between the NGP and the PlayStation 3. Studio Liverpool is doing the development and in multiplayer you'll be able to race together with everyone who's got wipEout HD on their PS3.
There appears to also be a story as the origins of the the F-3600 anti-gravity racing liga will be explained. Finally there will be 10 new tracks that cover famous cities like New York.
No release date has been set yet, but no doubt we'll hear more about that at E3 next week.
