Oxford Murders, The

Martin is a grad student who’s come to Oxford to work together with professor Arthur Seldom. However, little after he arrives, the landlady of the house he lives in is found dead and before he knows it, he’s indeed working together with Seldom but rather on trying to solve the murders than actually his study

Sound and Vision:
Nothing special actually. The DVD contains decent image but nothing extraordinary. Things tend to look a bit soft now and then but it fits nicely with the atmosphere. The movie is centered around dialogue rather than action so emphasis is on the front center speaker where we hear clear dialogues. The surround speakers are mostly used for some supporting music

Extras:
None

Conclusion:
The Oxford Murders is a nice “whodunit” with a pretty standard setup that gets beefed up thanks to the decent acting performances from Elijah Wood and John Hurt.

Our Score:
6.0
