Bandits: Phoenix Rising (Pc)
Bandits at ECTS: First impressions
Ever dreamt of combining Mad Max’ background story with some violent mix of Interstate ’76 & Ballistics? Bandits is your game then …
The demo will feature only one vehicle called “Badger”, nevertheless it will give you good impressions though. You’ll soon find yourself shooting your way trough wastelands, green fields, desert canyons and deep snow bombing and blasting all sorts of enemies and cargo trucks, defending your gang and your glory! That’s what the story is all about.
You are member of the Wolfpack gang commanding the two characters that drive the vehicle: Fennec & Rewdalf, instead of doing all the driving for you, they’ll merely do all the talking.
The way you drive the vehicles has a similarity to the way you drive the ‘warthog’ in Halo: you point in what direction you want to go, a variation to the usual driving-visualization that I like a lot. What about weaponry? Up to 6 different weapons on one vehicle, a turret, a machinegun, grenade launchers …
According to the devteam, which is most likely to be accurate, the game will feature up to 22 missions ranging from duels, mass destruction runs, train robberies, and many, many more.
Grin have proven their know-how to bring the speed sensation to your screen with ‘Ballistics’ and they do it again with ‘Bandits’ … whomever likes a bit of a rush combined with hours and hours of shoot-em-up fun really should try this demo out. The demo is due to launch this Friday, September 6.
