The few images we got to see from the game strongly reminded us of the game based on the Lord of the Rings trilogy;Return of the King. Eragon will be a hack&slash title that - according to the makers - will not be just a "button bashing" experience.

During the levels you'll often have to use the surroundings to defend yourself from your opponent's attacks. Also it's going to be possible to call in your dragon at certain times to get rid of hardly reachable enemies. In a second type of gameworld you get to control the dragon yourself and will be able to use its powers like blowing fire and giving a kick with the tail. All levels can be played with two players through the co-op mode.

Vivendi Universal expects the game to be released at the same time as the movie on PC, PS2, Xbox, GBA, DS and PSP. On the handhelds, the game will be a turn-based strategy title which is probably more fun for on the road.
