Your predecessor was ‘paged’ quite frequently by nurses and therefore the hospital has been neglected. It’s your job to clean up the mess after him. This preview consists of the first four days in which everything is a little explained, so that you can find your way.

You have to make sure that the following things run smoothly: researching and treating diseases, receiving patients, buying machines and furniture, hiring or firing personnel and even the relationships between your staff members.

That’s right: you get the chance to create your own soap romances between doctors and nurses. The way you manage everything is reflected in the hospital rating and in the inspection reports. The better your hospital scores during such inspections, the more money you get when the inspection is over. The game is more focused on fun than on realism, the diseases you’ll encounter show this: explosive sneezing, lightbulbia, mummyfried skin, etc.

There are several patterns that reoccur, like: a patient arrives and is sent to a doctor. The latter one cannot discover from which disease the patient suffers and so he is sent to the research department. There the disease is discovered and you’re shown the details and the things needed to treat the affliction. It’s up to you to provide them, so that the patients who suffer from it can be treated. Very logical of course, but the question is: how before it gets boring?

As background music a soundtrack of happy tunes is provided, which I found to be very irritating. The other sounds are not really suited to listen to longer than one second either: the gibberish of the characters, the typical disease sounds (sneezing, coffing, farting,..) and the cries of pain of all the sensitive patients (that means all the patients).
