Reservoir Dogs (Pc)
This game, after the movie of Quentin Tarantino, puts you in the shoes of the well-known gentlemen criminals and promises the answer on a couple of unsolved questions of the movie.
The missions alternate between escapes and car races. The path is quite linear, but you can choose your methode: shooting your way through or taking hostages to get past security, police and SWAT. Civilians can also raise the alarm, so threatening or shooting them is part of the game.
The rating at the end of each mission reflects your used method. If you were too trigger-happy, you're classed as a psycho, if on the other hand you barely used your gun, you're a professional. The total rating eventually leads to 3 different endings. Those who didn't see the movie: you get enough information to follow the story. The different missions show what has happened with each of the characters.
A special feature in this game is hostage taking. They can help you get past several police officeres, but really slow you down and only hold on for a limited time, after which they faint or refuse to set another step. Threatened by your gun civilians and officers alike can be given orders, like opening a safe or unlocking a door.
Those locks can also be shot, but you run the risk of setting off an alarm. In safes, but also on desks or on the ground, blue prints can be found. Collecting those unlocks some art galleries. In this preview there still were some problems with image and sound, especially with the synchronisation, but next to this the game seems to be as good as finished.
This game can become fun fans and others alike. The only problem that can still surface once it is released, is the fact that it's a little too repetitive.
