We all know the style of John Woo when we see it, the so-called ‘gun ballet’ with matching acrobatic stunts looks very spectacular and this has to reproduced in the game. So the hero swings like Tarzan, glides over tables, uses the banisters as slides and so on, while he also shoots groups of enemies. Slow motion isn’t absent and this can be turned on automatically or manual. The controls are in any case easy to handle and to master.

Al your pretty moves don’t go unnoticed, because you earn style points, which you can use to upgrade your character or unlock a special move. An example of such a special move is the area attack, handy when you’re surrounded. Birds appear, the hero makes some kind of pirouette while shooting and there you go, another couple of trouble makers gone.

It’s a next-gen game and of course the graphics reflect this, but also the interaction with the environment. Everything can be used in some way, for instance a table can be thrown over to hide behind it, but everything is also destructable and this with great detail. Every single tile can be shot, this implies a lot of dynamic action, because you can never be sure of a safe shelter.

The main character is inspector Tequila and he’s known as a man who isn’t afraid to cross the line to do the right thing. When the daughter of a gang leader is kidnapped by another gang, Tequila searches in the streets of among others Chicago and Hong Kong for her, with who he once was romantically involved.

Next to Chinese mafia and other bandits, he also encounters Russian ex-soldiers, who thanks to their military tactics offer some extra challenge. Expect some mini-games too and 9 to 12 missions. The release will be in Q1 2007.
