In 2003 Wario Ware was released for the first time, for the Game Boy Advance. First we thought Nintendo launched the perfect game for ADHD-patients. When Wario Ware Inc.: Mega Party Game$ hit the market, we really got our hands on it. The concept is simple but at the same time very addictive: a bunch of minigames, one after another, each one taking about five seconds. In a flash you get to see the goal and you have to act immediately. Who makes four mistakes - or more if you have gained lifes - has to start all over.

Nintendo went a little further with Wario Ware: Touched! for DS. The concept was expanded with the original use of the stylus. You had to pop balloons, write Chinese signs, scratch Wario's back and lots more. The stylus made the game even more easy, but also even more fun!

Now we are ready for the next step in this huge evolution. Nintendo promises us a whole new gaming experience with the Wii, and that is definitely the thruth for the new Wario Ware. First the machine chooses how you have to hold the Wii Remote. There our eighteen possibilities. You get about two seconds to do this, then starts a matching minigame. In total there are two hundred minigames, the one even crazier than the other.

A few examples: take the Wii Remote in your hand like the handle of a wok and cook the vegetables; hold it like a pencil and complete the drawing; put it across your fist and box

forward or make swinging moves to shred paper. But there are also some more physical minigames: hold the Wii-Remote above your head and bend down a few times; take it in your hand and move your arms like a runner; take it in both hands and inflate a balloon, hold it at your waist and hula-hoop,...

Will you look hopelessly ridiculous? Definitely! Will that reduce the fun? Definitely not! WarioWare Smooth Moves looks like a fantastic game to play with some friends. Bring some beer and by the end of the evening, you'll have a belly ache. From laughing, hopefully not from the beer!
