Sir, yes sir! My name is Preston Marlow and together with my teammates Haggard, Sarge and Sweetwater we man the B-Company division. This is a collection of all the scum of the army and is used for the most dangerous missions, since we're cheap and easily replaceable. You can see us as the army's human shield. How I got there is not important but I can tell you that I had an "accident" with a helicopter...

My first mission in Bad Company already knew a special ending. While we were looking for possible survivors on the battlefield, Sweetwater found something of enormous value. A big 24-carat gold bar, with which the four of could insure our retirement fund. Sarge told us the bar probably belonged to the "mercenary" soldiers, the advanced and best trained army in the world which according to the myths got paid with gold. When we got the taste for the yellow-brown bars, we decided to look for the jackpot.

For a B-company team I can say for all of us that we're a strong and more specific destructive whole. I can't claim we can destroy 100% of the surroundings, but next to some pilars and basic structures around 90% of the environment is levelled after we passed by. Since we and the hostiles can destroy the surroundings we tend to approach the others as tactically as possible as hiding behind a house without walls doesn't seem like a good idea. A tip I can give you is to look around carefully for stuff that can be blown up as the explosions look awesome!

During our quest for wealth we had to adapt to different environments like deserts, tropical areas and even snow is something we came across. And what a view we got there! With good weather I was often just hanging around, sitting against a barn, reasting while the sound of a river nearby made me calm. Sounds as clear as glass entered my ears.

"One for all and all for one" is our motto. When we enter combat I can always count on my team mates and that also goes the other way around. What I did notice was that my friends managed to get hit several times by bullets but would never die. Maybe I gave them the necessary backup with my elite skills, but I doubt it. I know that before each mission we have to get together and go over how we would do it, but in the end we always did as we pleased. Following a plan wasn't necessary and we could surprise the enemy by using different tactics. One time we would crawl up to him, while another moment we would go for a full "blitzkrieg" attack.

There were times we had nothing to do because we didn't have the necessary info to start our next mission or because we didn't feel like doing anything. At those times we could always test our skills against twelve other B-Company members. With 24 we would be dropped in an area with as goal to defend the treasure, or destroy it. We would call that "Gold Rush". A choice between five classes was given, each one having its own unique abilities. As a "demolition" soldier you could have some fun with a bazooka, while "support" soldiers would bring help to others.
After each round stats are gathered by our HQ and melted together in a ranking.

All in all Battlefield: Bad Company is quite ok. My team mates are motivated, whether or not thanks to the gold, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape or - if you want - destroy it. Gold Rush plays very swift and offers the necessary variation.
I, Preston Marlow, from B-Company invite you to get to know our division. Don't miss this chance and be part of the scum of the army!
