Let's be clear about this. Curious George ain't a bad game. It's made with a certain tense of quality. What's even more, you can have fun with it. Too bad this game is made for kids and retarded people. It's not meant for serious gamers or adult people, that's for sure. But kids under 10 and retarded people: oh boy, let's have a jolly good time.
You are George. George is a curious little monkey. Because he's so damn curious, he likes to poke things. A bit like George Michael you could say. By poking certain objects, you obtain Curious points. You can exchange these points in the shop for some minigames. But there's more, you also have to collect bananas. You can find these in the most weird places you can think of. When I found a damn banana in the shower, I started thinking. I thought "Dude, that's kinda weird".
Curious George never really gets difficult. Jumping and collecting: that's it folks. Yeah, you have the occasional minigame, but they really are no good. A little voice inside of me says i shouldn't bother about it. This game is made for kids, what do they care.
The game is based on the film Curious George. That film looked a lot less shiny than other animation films these days. The game has the same lack of original environments. You've seen the stages after five times, and the objects you can poke become boring. The story isn't all that great, and the music sounds outdated, like the graphics and the sound effects.
Boy. That doesn't sound too good you might say. Indeed it isn't young men/girls. But listen up! I've played a lot of games that sucked even more when I was young. And you wouldn't say, but I enjoyed myself with these games. I can understand that young gamers could enjoy Curious George.
