You play as Bishop, leader of the elite Bravo Team. Together with the rest of your guys the idea is to take down as many terrorists as possible when negotiations fail and they start shooting the hostages.

Qua gameplay this title is already hitting the target right on the spot. When you walk into a room like a chicken without a head you're quickly doomed to die. Teamwork isn't an option but a pure must! By a simple press of the space bar you can guide your team to where you want them and thanks to the new "Cover and shoot" system it's very easy to hide behind an object and wildly start shooting at hostiles.

Also some actions were added that can be used with the space bar, like climbing up and down a rope, gathering your team to blow up a door, or just charge in somewhere.

Graphically on the other hand the game isn't such a shot in the target. While some objects look really nice, there are many little flaws that decrease the realism. You can spill clips with shooting at a projector on the ceiling and even filled with bullet holes it will keep working. Similarly you won't see the wheels moving on a fence when you open it.

Another downpoint pops up when you're hit by enemy fire. Some sort of blur appears on the screen but it looks like gigantic pixels which in my opinion is an ugly and disturbing element.

You can also create your own character. Sadly enough you can only play on one account and the possibilities of change are very limited. Another issue are the loading times that take too long before menu appears and when you change level.

As said, you need to play this game tactically contrary to many other shooters. For this you get some nifty toys to play with and they really come in handy. Thanks to a smoke grenade you can desorientate your enemies while you can easily shoot them with your thermal heat glasses on. Also the night goggles are very welcome in the darker parts of the game.

As RSV2 progresses you get experience, aka xp, with which you can unlock a new rank. Each of those delivers new equipment which make you more persistent against hostile fire.

The online part is quite fun, as admit it, playing with friends is always nicer than alone. You can choose a game yourself or have the server pick on for you that complies with your offline rank which means you won't be overshadowed by the better players.
