Sex Drive

Ian is 18 and has never been laid in his life. When he meets a gorgious babe on the internet who offers to have sex with him he promises to go to Knoxville to meet up with her. Once his older brother Rex is gone, Ian and his friend Lance and Felicia take Rex’ Pontiac GTO and head off to Knoxville, Tenessee. On the road, however, it becomes clear that things are a bit more complicated between the three than first thought: Ian likes Felicia but she on the other hand has a crush for Lance. Lance being the man who everybody likes.

Sound and Vision:
The image quality is pretty standard for a recent release on DVD these days. Compression errors and obnoxious stuff like aliasing we didn’t spot and overall things are quite good. Nothing special to be said.

The same goes for the soundtrack that uses the surround speakers and subwoofer sporadically but don’t expect too much as this movie is focused more on the front channels for dialogues.

Extras:
– Clark: Duke on the Internet
– Killing time in Hollywood, Florida
– Making a Masterpiece
– The Marsden dilemma
– Trailer

A couple of tongue-in-cheeck features that will prolong the fun for the fans a little longer.

Conclusion:
Sex Drive is yet another teen comedy about sex and virgins and as so many before it doesn’t manage to uplift itself from being mediocre. In total I found two good jokes and for the rest you can imagine just about any predictable plot twist in history and it will be there.

Fans of the genre will probably enjoy themselves with Sex Drive but those looking for more than “just another teen comedy” should leave this one on store shelves
