Sleeping Dogs to get plenty of DLC
United Front Games’ Sleeping Dogs (previously known as True Crime: Hong Kong) is set for release tomorrow in the US and August 17th in Europe, but to keep interest high for the period after release, Square Enix today already sent out word that there will be regular releases of DLC for the game over the coming six months.
Upon launch there will already be the 80s-inspired Retro Triad Pack available, which contains “a killer old school outfit with its own player buffs and funky kung-fu van”. As of September more new content packs are planned already, including a high-speed Racing Pack and an explosive SWAT Pack.
Square Enix London General Manager Lee Singleton had the following to say:
“SLEEPING DOGS is a game we know fans will want to keep on playing, so over the next six months we’ll be creating a series of new content packs giving players everything they need to keep enjoying the game,”
“We want to create something to suit everyone’s play style from cool cars and high-speed missions to outlandish outfits and game-extending mission packs. The game launch is just the beginning.”
More information about the different DLC packs is supposed to be released soon.
