Playstation3 Preview of 2010

Special by Darkflash
2009 is almost over and with that come the usual lists. Ok, we already know Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2 and Forza Motorsport 3 were some of the top titles, but we can't just sit around and do nothing so let's have a look at 2010. Which top titles can we expect on the PS3?

Gran Turismo 5:
Release: march 2010?

"Although the game was originally planned for release Spring 2008, Yamauchi-san announced this will probably be delayed to end 2008" This was writting on Fragland in the Summer of 2007. That delay clearly took a little longer than foreseen but still Gran Turismo 5 remains one of the most discussed titles for the Playstation3. Damage model or not? Track editor or not? Many people are waiting in anxiety to see whether all those years of delay and patience will deliver what they're hoping for. Recently the demo became downloadable through the Playstation Network, but those that want to see some more gameplay can also check out the trailer below:

Heavy Rain:
Release: Februari 26, 2010

This game promises to be different from anything we gamers are used to. Heavy Rain is a thriller where the storyline and the decisions of the player are central. You'll play with multiple characters which can die throughout the game. Each one of them has a strong background, which in the DLC will be even deeper, and through difficult choices the devs will try to bring forth emotions from the player. It all remains quite mysterious but this is one to keep an eye out for!

God of War III:
Release: March 19, 2010

After two episodes on the PS2, Kratos goes finishing his story on the PS3. Soon Greek mytholohy will know no secrets anymore for gamers. The game will again have plenty of recognisable mythical opponents and damn, they've never looked this good! The game is near "Gold" status so the wait will soon be over.

Final Fantasy XIII en XIV Online
Release:
XIII: March 9, 2010
XIV Online: 2010

While in Japan people are going insane already with Final Fantasy XIII, Europe has to wait a little longer. One million copies sold in one day and reactions that are all praise. It makes the wait even more painful. But while FF XIII is currently sucking all attention to itself, also FF XIV is coming up. A MMORPG on the PS3, we can't and shouldn't ignore it.

Five games I already am looking forward to, but of course there's more coming up. MAG, Bioshock 2, Dante's Inferno and a new Prince of Persia, ...and I'm probably still missing quite a number of other titles. Let's hope 2010 will bring some surprises.

Just Cause 2 isn't that impressive plus it's a multiplatform title so less interesting to post.

Lost Planet 2 also multiplatform, but on the other hand it is new for the PS3

Final Fantasy XIII again multi, but it's one of those titles which has always been linked with the PS these last year so kinda normal it got mentioned.
