Superhero Movie
Rick Riker is the local nerd at school but during a school trip he gets bitten by a genetically engineered dragonfly and the next day he finds he’s got all kinds of cool superpowers. Only thing he can’t do is fly, something a real superhero should be able to do. Still, that doesn’t stop him from starting his superhero career but eventhough he starts saving people here it’s not until he gets to face the evil Hourglass that he’ll find out whether or not he’s a true superhero…
Sound and Vision:
We get decent image quality but there’s some minor edge enhancement present as well as some posterisation. All in all the transfer is decent though.
The sound quality is very good with plenty of use of the surround speakers eventhough it’s mostly for music.
Extras:
None
Conclusion:
Superhero Movie is yet another spoof and this time it’s movies like Spider-Man, X-Men and Batman that get the comedy treatment. As such my expectations weren’t high at all as we’ve seen plenty of this type of movies fail but luckily Superhero Movie does a better job. No, it’s still not great but there’s enough to laugh with to keep you interested and although it will never become a classic it’s certainly worth a try on a Saturday evening.
