UK Charts: Sleeping Dogs wide awake

As expected, with the end of the Olympics ended the reign of Sega’s London 2012: The Official Videogame. The new king of the hill is Square Enix’ and United Front Games’ Sleeping Dogs. We’re pretty sure Activision is feeling sorry for cancelling True Crime: Hong Kong (previous name of Sleeping Dogs) back in the day.

In second place comes another newcomer: New Super Mario Bros 2 for the 3DS, marking another good selling title for Nintendo’s newest handheld.

The Top5 of last week remains unchanged, except then for the fact that they all drop two places. It isn’t until 8th position that we see a change in ranking and that honor goes to Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier which jumps up from 10. Deep Silver’s Dead Island GOTY Edition remains steady at 9, and the Top10 gets closed off by LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 which managed to magically leap back up from 20.
