UK Sales Charts: EA keeps the lead
We’re a bit later than normal with the sales charts, but because there’s some changes at the top we didn’t want to keep them from you.
Last week, the best selling game in the UK wasn’t FIFA 13 but Electronic Arts isn’t all too worried about that as Medal of Honor: Warfighter managed to enter the charts at the top position even though the game received less than great reviews. Maybe next Monday we’ll see this change quite a bit but until then, Danger Close’s shooter is king.
In third place we find another newcomer and this in the form of Forza Horizon, Microsoft’s new racer that – although carrying the “Forza” label – is actually made by Playground Games and not entirely by Turn10. We’re guessing EA will be fighting with this one next week as well as we’ll see the arrival of the next Need for Speed.
Skylanders Giants, Dishonored and Just Dance 4 keep their ranking, but a few positions lower than last week, meaning they end up at 4, 5 and 6 while Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask enters new at 7 and Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park (who the hell comes up with these names???) from Mind Candy comes in new at 8.
Doom 3 BFG Edition drops from 5 to 9 and Resident Evil 6 from 7 to 10.
